Gerald is from Germany and came to faith while studying Business Administration at University. After many years serving on Area Council, Gerald was elected Area Director for SEND Spain in December 2018. In September 2021, he was re-elected for a second term. Serving as AD has become his primary ministry. He loves to serve in his leadership role and to empower the missionaries to preach the gospel to the widely unreached Spanish people. In the local church in Guadalajara Gerald teaches a leadership course, disciples new believers, and preaches regularly.

Emöke is from Hungary and also came to faith during studies at University. Emöke supports Gerald in his ministry and serves as SEND Spain's Area Women Representative and SEND Spain's Security Officer. In the local church she is doing mentoring and counseling.

We both love to meet with people, to teach the scripture, and to take care of people (shepherding).

We have been serving in Spain since 2005. After learning language and serving two years with the Spanish IFES movement in Madrid, we moved in 2010 to Guadalajara, a town 50 km northeast of Madrid, where we have been involved in church planting and growth.

Ever since the church in Guadalajara was established in 2013, we have continued to train leaders. In summer 2020 church leadership was taken over by nationals who now have fully assumed the responsiblity for the church and the outreach to the city. PRAISE GOD! Since 2013, the Guadalajara church has become involved in a church plant in Sigüenza, a small, very Catholic village about 70 km from Guadalajara. Sigüenza is home to about 4,000 residents and the main cathedral of the diocese.

In addition to these ministries, Gerald also did serve as president of a national non-governmental organization, METAS, and on the board of Evangelical Christian Academy, a school for missionary kids.

We have three children, Daniela (born in February 1997), Samuel (July 1999), and Christina (July 2002). Daniela has recently started her Master studies in Vienna/Austria, Samuel studies Physics in Madrid and Christina is doing a 10 months´ program (Bible School, Discipleship and Orientation) with a local church near Stuttgart/Germany.

We appreciate very much your prayers for our ministry and family and are thankful for any support.
