Shaun and Evie both grew up overseas as TCKs (Third Culture Kids).  Though Shaun spent his childhood in West Africa, and Evie in Japan, they both saw firsthand the world’s need for Christ.  This impression remained with them as they returned to the U.S. and both attended Toccoa Falls College in Northeast Georgia.  During the next several years, before the Lord led them together, Shaun and Evie had separate opportunities to serve overseas. These experiences emphasized the tremendous need for God’s people to follow Isaiah’s example and say, “Here am I!  Send me” (Isa 6:8).  It is for this reason that Shaun and Evie, along with their four kids, are looking to do maintenance at Okutama Bible Chalet in Japan.
