Through six years of ministry in northern Thailand, our team has seen a number of children and young people embrace Jesus as their Lord. The young adult girls who have come to Christ are now the nucleus of the Shan church in this village.

However, these young women are among the most vulnerable to opposition and exploitation. Some have parents across the border in Myanmar and COVID restrictions have separated them for the past 18 months.

Since 2015, we have been successfully protecting and nurturing these girls by providing housing in a student dorm for up to five girls. The dorm provides a safe environment when their relatives are either too poor to feed them, openly hostile to their faith, or threatening to employ them as prostitutes. It also gives our team a chance to build into their lives 24/7. All of the girls’ essential needs are provided in the dorm, and a Thai dorm “mother” cares for them and disciples them as followers of Jesus Christ.

The continuation of this project will cover all project expenses for the coming two school years (through August 2023).

Cost: $33,800
