Russia’s vast territory includes more than 100 minority people groups, many of which are unreached. To take the gospel to these groups, SEND Russia is exploring a partnership with local church leaders in the Republic of Kalmykia. This area is located just north of the Caucasus region of Russia and is home to the Kalmyks, a people of Mongol origin who are primarily Tibetan Buddhists.

The team will send multiple short-term groups into Kalmykia over the next several years to build relationships and explore strategies for long-term ministry. Funds raised for this project will provide for the teams’ travel and ministry expenses.
