MOVE | SEND International 2017 Annual Report | MOVE | SEND International 2017 Annual Report | 9 8 GOD IS ON THE MOVE IN CANADA CANADA SENDers and GOers are responding! Recently it was my special privilege to see Sturgeon Valley Baptist (the “SENDers”) gather around to pray for Tiffany (a new “GOer”) as she heads out for her first term in Japan. After language study, Tiffany will serve at a vibrant camp ministry reaching youth, children and adults with the gospel. Tiffany is not alone! In Canada, several others are preparing for long-time service. Several dozen (!!) short-term and medium-term (3-24 months) workers served with SEND Canada in 2017. We now have a great group of student interns and over 20 short-term teams preparing for ministry in 2018! New resources for pastors, churches and mission workers As our team travels across Canada, we listen for the needs of churches, supporters and potential new workers. In response, we’ve developed several tools including: The GoJournal – an online or paper journal to help short-term workers reflect on what they’re doing, feeling and learning at every stage of their ministry — including after they get back home. Visit or contact our office for a sample copy. The Global Missions Podcast – an online program for Christ- followers who want to participate more effectively in God’s mission, both at home and around the world. There are now over 70 episodes online at, with new episodes being posted every two weeks. The Global Missions Toolbox (Coming Soon!) – Specially designed for pastors, missions committees, and supporters, the Toolbox will help promote, develop and sustain efforts to engage the unreached with the Good News. Visit to learn more. God is on the move in Canada – his people are responding to his call and preparing both to GO and to SEND. Will you join him?
