God used a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic to ignite a desire in my heart to share my faith using the Spanish language. As a high school student I was blessed to be a summer exchange student in Spain. During my time there my eyes were opened to how few evangelical Christians there were in Spain and the great need for the Gospel there. Many of the towns and villages I visited had no evangelical church and nearly all of the youth I interacted with had never heard the Gospel.
At the Urbana missions conference in 2006 I made a commitment to do whatever, whenever, and wherever, as long as the Lord was in it. After praying for, supporting, and advocating for the need for the Gospel for Spain, God opened the door for me to go, be a light in Spain, and be a part of His work there. At home I have been involved with small groups, evangelism at a local state college, Christian community, a volunteer program teaching English to Hispanics, and various other ministries. In Spain I plan to use my gifts and experiences to assist in the church-planting work there. My heart is to work with the youth and young adults, developing relationships that will provide opportunities to share Christ.
Thank you for your partnership in this work, as I answer the call that God has placed on my life to proclaim salvation in Christ among all peoples, working with others to establish biblical, reproducing churches in Spain.
