As a youth, God used a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic to ignite a desire in my heart to share my faith using the Spanish language. As a high school student I was blessed to be a summer exchange student in Spain. During my time there, my eyes were opened to how few evangelical Christians there were and the great need for the gospel in Spain. Many of the towns and villages I visited had no protestant church and nearly all of the youth I interacted with had never heard the gospel.
At the Urbana missions conference in 2006, I made a commitment to do whatever, whenever, and wherever, as long as the Lord was in it. After praying for, supporting, and advocating for the need for the gospel for Spain, God opened the door for me to go, be a light in Spain, and be a part of the Lord's work here.
In the summer of 2013, I joined a church-planting team in Lugones, in the region of Asturias, where I served for nearly seven years. There, I was involved with small groups, evangelism and outreach, was a leader with Grupos Bíblicos Universitarios (GBU) at the University of Oviedo, helped develop Christian community, hosted English camps, led regular English conversation groups, and participated in numerous other ministries. By God’s grace, the church was established and national leadership was appointed in May 2017.
With much prayer and planning, I moved in July 2020 to join a pioneer church-planting team in the Basque Region of Spain. I now live in Sopela and work with teammates to reach the area of Uribe Kosta for Christ. It is an area that includes seven unreached towns. It is our prayer that God will raise up new believers and establish his Church in Uribe Kosta.
Thank you for your partnership in this work, as I answer the call that God has placed on my life to proclaim salvation in Christ among all peoples, working with others to establish biblical, reproducing churches in Spain.
