Less than 1 percent of the Japanese people know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This reality is one of the many factors that propelled Kevin Cochrane to go to Japan as a long-term missionary with SEND International.

By God’s grace, Kevin served in Tokyo from fall 2013 until spring 2018. During his first term, Kevin began with 2 years of full-time language and cultural acquisition. Following this, Kevin served for 2.5 years with a high-school student ministry called Hi-BA, and focused on evangelism, discipleship, and camp ministry with high school students living in Japan.

As Kevin looks ahead to his second term, he plans to step away from his role with Hi-BA and to move north to the city of Sendai, where he will be planting a church with other missionaries. Kevin and his teammates pray that this new church will help catalyze a church-planting movement across Japan.

Kevin’s ultimate vision and dream is that one day Japan will no longer be considered an “unreached nation” but a nation reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If you feel the Lord leading you to partner with Kevin and what God is doing in Japan, please feel free to email him, join his prayer team, or partner financially.

May the great name of Jesus be glorified and worshipped in Japan and throughout the earth.

“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.” Psalm 22:27-28
