Where Rich Culture and Perseverance Meet

Eurasia is a region of vast beauty and diversity. Here, not one, but many communities with rich cultures and languages have populated the steppe, mountains, meadows, forests, and deserts of Eurasia. Here, a friendly kiss of welcome often accompanies warm hospitality, an important shared value.

Ironically, these rich multi-cultural communities have also persevered during the most convoluted and explosive periods in history. Many local Ukrainian, Russian, and Central Asian communities can trace a trail of suffering through time. Today, in urban metropolises and remote villages alike, both the headlines and the faces of people unmistakably reveal both suffering and perseverance.

From Lviv, in the West, to Khabarovsk, in the Far East, and down to the mountainous desert cities near the Caspian Sea, the peoples of Eurasia need Jesus and the hope of His transforming gospel. SEND Eurasia seeks to reach Eurasia for Jesus, that the Shalom of Jesus may redeem people from every tongue, tribe, and nation that make this region home.

In Eurasia now, there are many thriving churches, following Jesus, led by mature, local leaders. Since the 1990s, SEND has participated in this movement of God across Eurasia. And now, SEND seeks to partner with these churches and other international believers to keep reaching deeper into least-reached communities all across the region.

The vast territory of Eurasia continues to offer incredible diversity—opportunities to persevere in reaching the lost continue in new urban settings or tiny villages, in continued partnership with established churches or in frontier settings, in Orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist, and folk-religious communities.
