Missional Theological Educator/Pastors

Needed:
Kyiv Theological Seminary, a premier theological institution serving the former Soviet Union since 1955, is looking for pastor-theologian-teachers with a solid understanding of the missional nature of biblical theology and the ability to train students to communicate theological truths in a teaching/preaching setting as well as in real relational contexts. The seminary needs theological educators to teach at the Master's and Doctoral levels to equip Ukrainian believers to contribute deeply to the theological conversations relevant to their cultural contexts, to continue to reach their society for Christ and to participate in the growing movement in the Ukrainian church to take the gospel to the nations.

Term: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)
Tasks:
  • Language and culture learning
  • Design and implement courses aligned with the standards of Kyiv Theological Seminary
  • Take a personal discipleship interest in students and equip them to make use of course subject matter in a variety of relational ministry contexts
  • Model a life of discipleship to Christ, and servanthood in the body of Christ 
  • Current Course Needs include:
    • OT Hebrew
    • NT Greek
    • Biblical Theology
Specific Qualifications:
  • A PhD in OT Hebrew, NT Greek, Biblical Theology, or Biblical Studies preferred; PhD candidacy or ThM (with thesis) considered
  • History of active ministry in one's local church required; Pastoral and/or elder teaching experience preferred
  • Heart for the glory of God to penetrate the unreached
  • Passion to make global followers of Christ who will spread the gospel
  • Ability to be a team player with fellow workers and nationals
  • Humility to work behind the scenes when needed and empower and encourage others to lead
  • Heart of a servant, flexibility and cultural sensitivity
