Youth Ministry - Russia

Youth workers to reach the youth of Russia through evangelism, discipleship, and networking on a church planting team
Needed:
Many churches in Russia are reaching local youth, and have a strong vision to continue sharing the gospel and nurturing new believers to become leaders. They need youth workers who can work under, and in cooperation with, local church leadership, to disciple young people in a variety of settings. 
Country: Eurasia, Russia
Term: Mid-Term (1 - 3 years), Short-Term (1-3 months), Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)
Tasks:
  • Learn language and culture to the level appropriate for one’s term of service 
  • Under the guidance of local church leadership, build relationships with youth in order to help them grow closer to Christ, and to know His Word more 
  • Discipling youth in small group and one-on-one situations 
  • Modeling Christlike character, and dependence on God in everyday life 
Specific Qualifications:
  • Heart for the glory of God to penetrate the unreached
  • Passion to make global followers of Christ who will spread the gospel
  • Ability to be a team player with missionaries and nationals
  • Humility to work behind the scenes and empower and encourage others to lead
  • Commitment to the power of God's Word to transform lives

Additional Information:

The young people living in Russia generally live without spiritual influence and without hope. The percentage of broken homes is high and many young people are turning to drugs and alcohol. SEND Russia, working alongside the national church, seeks to reach Russian youth as well as young people from other unreached people groups.
