It was 1990 when Greg and Kim Joyce began serving the Lord in Alaska.   A summer mission trip, two years studying at Alaska Bible College, another seventeen years in a remote Yukon River village and the last four spent in Anchorage as members of SEND North’s “Logistics & Support” team are all components of their resumé; the story of God at work in their lives.

Now they enter a new chapter of that story, “Urban Ministry.”

The cities of Anchorage, Fairbanks, Alaska’s “Mat-Su” Valley, Whitehorse, and Yellowknife are the largest population centers on the SEND North field, and each of these communities holds a variety of unreached/least-reached ethnic groups. The Joyces will assess the ministry needs and opportunities present in each location, collaborate with existing ministry resources (churches, para-church organizations, etc.) and personally engage in direct ministry among the ethnic groups residing in the Anchorage area.

Please join Greg and Kim by praying for this exciting, important new venture as the Lord builds His church among northern Indigenous peoples, Asians, South Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, Africans and others living in Alaska, the Yukon and Northwest Territories. (Acts17:26)
