Less than a quarter of Alaska is connected by highways and northern Canada has similar travel constraints. Flying is the only reliable form of year-round transportation.

SEND North currently has dozens of missionary families living in diverse villages and aviation plays a key role in keeping them connected and expanding. The fastest and least expensive way to move between these villages is in small private aircraft.

The cost of operating a small aircraft for SEND North is roughly $400/hour in the air. Last year, SEND North pilots flew over 500 hours. The SEND North Aviation Fund is used to cover the all the costs of flying our team members around the Far North.

Annual need: $150,000
