Western Japan experienced widespread damage after torrential rains hit a huge swath of the area for several days in early July. Rescue efforts have taken place and now the great need is for recovery teams to restore houses and give comfort to those families who have lost family members and in some cases their livelihood as well. Over 200 have died and more than 20 are still missing at the time of this writing.

This project seeks to raise $49,000 to mobilize God's people to give and to go, engaging people in a disaster-stricken area with a holistic gospel approach by being the hands and feet of Jesus. The project will operate within the network of the Japan Evangelical Association's disaster relief arm, and under its financial accountability.
