Your generosity enabled Team Hope to carry out its first medical mission in Southeast Asia since 2020, reaching over 600 patients in just four days.
Our team served in four different communities, working hand-in-hand with local health officials, doctors, and medical students to provide urgent physical care at no cost. People came from near and far, seeking help for many conditions—from common diagnoses like diabetes, heart disease, and malnutrition to tropical diseases such as dengue fever and tuberculosis.
One especially moving moment happened on our second day. A teenage boy had a seizure in the waiting area. As we spoke with his family, we learned he has cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and epilepsy—conditions they couldn't afford to manage with anti-seizure medications. His mother shared that she lies awake at night, feeling helpless and burdened with fear for her son. Tears filled her eyes as she spoke.
We prayed with them, asking for healing and hope through Isa al Masih (Jesus the Messiah). During our time together, this mother confided that she had been feeling fatigued and thought she might be unwell—to her amazement, we discovered she was pregnant. Seeing her precious baby for the first time on the handheld ultrasound brought tears of joy to her eyes. We shared with her how Jesus can transform sorrow into joy and how he turns mourning into dancing.
This was one of many moments during the clinic when we could share about the love and compassion of our Savior, the great physician. We prayed over each patient and had opportunities to tell them how Jesus brings peace and healing that powerfully changes our lives.
Thank you for making this work possible. With your support and the Holy Spirit's faithful guidance, we're seeing hearts reached and lives transformed by the good news of Jesus. Please join us in praying that each patient would come to know him as the Lord of their lives.
