We bring the message of Jesus to address felt needs, make disciples, and help develop fellowship groups and church networks among Muslims peoples in Central Asia. SEND works with evangelical churches, when they exist, to help them develop ministry and church planting among Muslims. SEND also partners with other agencies to provide personnel in administration, education, health and development. SEND’s goal is to create great commission believers who will reach their neighbors, other people groups, and neighboring countries.
Central Asia is the core region of the Asian continent and stretches from the Caspian Sea to China. It is called the “stans” for the countries ending in “stan” meaning “land of.” Historically, Central Asia has been closely tied to its nomadic peoples and the Silk Road, acting as a crossroads for the movement of people, goods, and ideas between Europe and Asia. It is the home of many unreached Muslim peoples but also a significant Slavic population. Russian is the trade language for many of these countries.
