I was born and raised in Glennallen, Alaska, and have always loved my home state. When I was in high school I went on a mission trip to Africa and God opened my eyes to the great need in the world. A year later I visited a Bible camp in western Alaska and realized that people have a great need for Christ here as well. There was no need for me to travel around the world with so many lost people in my own back yard! I went to Wisconsin Wilderness Campus and Philadelphia Biblical University for my BS in Biblical Studies and then worked for two years in Glennallen. In 2008 I joined SEND North and moved to a village in western Alaska to work with young people and help run a Teen Center/Coffee Shop in the community.
