Hello! My husband and I are preparing for long term missions in Japan. We want to work with young people to fight against depression, anxiety, and suicide, which have become major problems in the Tokyo area. We will begin by working at Okutama Bible Chalet (OBC) in the Ome region of the Tokyo prefecture, Japan. OBC’s vision is this, "The purpose of Okutama Bible Chalet is to glorify God and serve the church through camping and programs of evangelism and Bible education in a safe, enjoyable, outdoor environment."

The campground is a place for people to get away from the stresses and busyness of life and be surrounded by God’s creation. It also creates a space to share about Jesus Christ while having their full attention. This opportunity at OBC is a great place to begin our family’s mission of reaching the youth of Japan with the message of Jesus Christ and his peace which surpasses all understanding.

Phillipians 4:6-7, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
