Dave and JoAnn Loewen retired from SEND International on December 31, 2012, BUT they continue to volunteer for SEND in the area of member care consulting. They will continue to do debriefing using CSA tools and facilitating Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills (SYIS) workshops. You can continue to contribute toward their ministry expenses and travel costs.

Dave and JoAnn have been serving with SEND for 42 years. Their first ministry was church planting in Japan. After 24 years in Japan, Dave was asked to fill the role of Regional Director for Asia where, for 10 years, he managed the oversight and member care for the receiving areas in Asia. During this time, JoAnn traveled with him as well as serving in the US Office as Assistant Personnel Director, processing new missionaries into SEND.

In 2004, Dave became the Personnel Director of the US Office and spent most of his time caring for missionaries on Home Service. Dave and JoAnn love to encourage missionaries and have been invaluable in helping our missionaries continue in effective ministry.
