Nelson and Maricel are from Manila, Philippines. Both were working in their respective professional fields when God called them to serve Him full-time. Nelson serves as the Mobilization Director of Send Philippines. He leads the team to engage with individuals, churches, and organizations to explore and respond to the needs of reaching the unreached for Christ. Maricel helps with the operations of the Send Philippines' Guest House. They serve and lead at their local church in Chinatown, Manila. Their children are Isabel, Sophia, and Miguel. The Tan family firmly believes that, "where God leads, He provides."
