Barry and Ruth Rempel have served with SEND since 1987, engaged in church planting, training, and leadership in Spain, Alaska, and Mexico. As of August 2024, they serve in Western Asia in a church planting program. Their ministry roles are teaching (Barry) and mentoring (both). The post-college students are dedicating their lives to take the Gospel to the unreached, and this 8-month program is part of their initial overseas preparation. Barry also continues to help mobilize and train those being sent out from Latin America.

The Rempel’s two daughters (Katya and Savanna) were born in Spain and are now married adults, blessing them with one grandchild each.
