Hi my name is Michael Tran and I am currently living in Los Angeles, California. I have been accepted to do mid-term missions in Japan this coming November 2022 which I am very excited about! It is my hope and desire that God will allow me to do long-term missions in Japan. Having visited Japan a few times, I have grown to love the people of Japan and have a desire to share the Lord with those who are lost. I am currently attending Zoom meetings twice per week where I have the opportunity to teach English and share the gospel with Japanese people. Through our discussion times, we look for ways to have spiritual conversations whenever we can and to encourage them to pursue biblical truth. Next November, I will be participating in SEND International’s Tokyo Intern Program where I will be learning how to contextualize the gospel within their culture and plant reproducing churches.

As an intern in this program, I will be given opportunities to use what I have learned about the culture to work with the missionaries and local believers to reach out to those who are unsaved. This opportunity will allow me to explore what long-term missions would look like in Japan. God has given me the opportunity to become an instrument of his peace and to share the truth with those who don't yet know him. Through prayer and your partnership, I want to connect with the people of Japan and share the hope that is in Jesus Christ.
