On March 11, 2011, when the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami hit, SEND missionaries and supporters sprang into action, delivering food and supplies, and giving almost $400,000 toward relief and recovery efforts.

We've made great progress through Engage Tohoku, a 10-year commitment to engage the unreached in three disaster-zone prefectures. A total of 16 SEND missionaries have been deployed full time into Iwate and Miyagi prefectures, and we are praying about how to engage Fukushima next.
