University students from different provinces in Thailand, especially in the Northeast of Thailand, come to Mahasarakham to study. In Mahasarakham there is a student population of about 70,000 to 80,000 students. A professor from Mahasarakham University requires her English major students to come to our student center to learn English and allows us to use Bible stories as our curriculum. We have the freedom to evangelize and disciple these students.
One of the reasons why students keep coming to the center is they are drawn by our hospitality and “warm feelings” they receive from us. Our program is only for two hours but most of them stay for 3-4 hours. Because of this, now we have students who attend our church regularly. Because of this, now we have students who attend our church regularly. Since we started in April 2023, we have now about 30 people, including our team of 7, as regular attendees. We envision that this will triple in number in the months or years ahead.
This project aims to look for a student center to rent and maintain that is strategically located in close access to the university as a bridge to reaching thousands of students in the city of Mahasarakham. It includes monthly rental of the building, utilities, English camps, snacks, and other expenses for evangelistic and outreach events for the students for the calendar years of 2024 and 2025. Consider giving $50 to $100 monthly to help us complete this project.
