Solar Energy Business as Mission

Solar Energy Business as Mission

Location:  Central Asia

ID:  38247

This country relies heavily on hydropower. However, the electricity supply to clinics, pharmacies, farms, schools, and small businesses is unstable. Frequent power outages caused the business substantial loss of time and money. This proposal uses the disciples’ approach for the Kingdom business.

Like-minded young coworkers and shareholders will be recruited to form the company. The operation will be run on a minimalist in the beginning phase by outsourcing. One or a maximum of two local young strong Christian adults will be hired to learn the operations during the first two years. Biblical-based fellowships will be held during the week. Clients and vendors will be treated with respect and rapport from Biblical principles. We will have a special friendly attitude toward our neighbors. We will try to excel in keeping the business but still be able to maintain good relationships with suppliers, clients, and neighbors.

Ten percent of the income and time will be dedicated to Kingdom matters. Honesty, integrity, and transparency will be held to a high standard. Hopefully, this business will be operating with a mission to share the Gospel with the pre-believers. Eventually, the first-generation disciples will be able to recruit, train, and teach the second-generation disciples.

Branches or franchises will be established throughout the country. The same business model will be operated in neighboring countries if proven successful. Therefore, the number of disciples can be multiplied over time. The desired outcomes and benefits: Medical clinics, youth centers, and schools can operate without interruption of power supply. The evangelism effort will be more effective; school children can get warm in cold winter mornings. The discipleship effort will cover more ground and, thus, potentially more likely for church planting to be run by the locals.

In five years, a stable business income can support financially numerous ministries in the area, such as supplying financial resources for young people to be trained in seminary or bible school setting. In ten years, if the business is robust enough, it may generate revenue to implement multiple sites of operations in other neighboring countries.

Consider giving $25 to $250 monthly to support this solar energy business as mission initiative.
