In our Bapa community, we care for the educational needs of students at varied ages. Our youngest children’s tutorials program supports whole child learning while also drawing young parents into the journey of supporting their children’s school journeys, their heath, and social connection.
While many of these parents never graduated from high school, they feel ill-equipped to help their children. This is humbling, and also frightening. Our team in Bapa lovingly comes alongside the whole family for these young children. While students are in their classrooms at our Community Center, parents and guardians are passive learners, learning to read, being encouraged to listen and care for their children as Jesus cares for them.
In 2024, we incorporated a Nutrition Intervention for this program, as malnutrition is an ongoing concern and enhancing vegetable/micronutrient consumption through family gardens is key. For only $50/₱2500
per child, which covers one year, we are able to provide materials, meals, and family support. Your gift allows us to empower women and children in difficult educational situations, and enter into their home in the name of Isa.
Our campus team also hosts CBP (College-Bound Tutoring) students every summer. This tutoring program is an opportunity for students who scored low on the college entrance exams to take remedial math, science, and English classes and have a second chance to enter the university. Many of these students come from areas where schools are lacking in good education programs. These students also learn study skills for the first time in our classes. The CBP program is specifically for cultural community students who may not have the chance to go to college otherwise. You can help support a student studying to enter college for amounts as low as $500, $100 and $50 help our efforts / (₱28,000, P5500 or 2,500).
