Seven years ago, the SEND missionary team arrived in the Uribe Kosta region of northern Spain with a God-given vision: to plant healthy, biblical churches in a place where there was no evangelical witness.

Uribe Kosta is made up of seven towns with approximately 38,000 residents. When we began, there was not a single evangelical church in any of these communities. The region is deeply shaped by secularism and spiritual indifference.

Yet, God has been moving.

After years of prayer, relational evangelism, discipleship, and serving the community, today nearly 50 people gather regularly as part of a growing local church. We have seen lives transformed and people come to faith in Jesus in a place once considered spiritually unreachable.

Now, we are taking an important step of faith: purchasing a permanent church building.

This facility is strategically located near the train station, parks, cafés, and directly across from the regional hospital.

Even more significant, it already has a religious-use permit—something extremely valuable in Spain. This space will provide a permanent home for worship, discipleship, youth ministry, counseling, leadership development, evangelism, and future church planting efforts throughout the region.

Our vision remains clear:

To plant healthy, biblical churches in each of the seven towns of Uribe Kosta, reflecting love for God, love for others, and love for the Basque people.

At the same time, we also desire to continue operating our METAS center in Sopelana, a key ministry tool that helps us build relationships and connect naturally with the community through educational and socio-cultural activities. Through English conversation groups, youth and family activities, and community programs, METAS has become an important bridge for meaningful relationships and gospel conversations.
