As the Soviet Union collapsed, SEND assembled. Teams quickly moved in to Russia and Ukraine, bringing Bible education that had been illegal under the Communist regime. Now this vast territory offers incredible diversity — opportunities to reach the lost in urban settings or in tiny villages; in partnership with established churches or in frontier settings; in Orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist and folk-religious communities.
