How will hundreds of millions of Southeast Asian Muslims respond to the gospel if they have never heard it? If their view of the Bible is distorted and they think everything in the West is Christian? The Church must step up and explain the truth clearly, but with gentleness, love and compassion. The Church needs to send its best to live incarnational lives among Muslims.
The Southeast Asia team focuses on Muslim people who were first introduced to Islam by Arab traders nearly 1,000 years ago. They are disadvantaged and poor, often living on the fringes of land taken from them by immigrants from the north. The team uses agricultural training, literacy, tutoring, community health and development, education, and more to minister at universities and in communities and to build bridges to Jesus.
The Southeast Asia team is looking for committed, hard-working, resilient people who maintain a close walk with Jesus and display a passionate desire to see more Muslims following Jesus. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine love for people and intentionality in their time, skills, and conversations, in order to bring a Kingdom perspective of holistic ministry into the context of daily life and trusting relationships. They should be flexible learners, willing to live simply in order to identify with our Muslim friends.
If you love Jesus, enjoy building relationships, and have a passion for Muslims and for storytelling, you would be a great fit for this team!
