Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)
Responsibilities:
- Provide English language instruction through classroom settings and individualized lessons to enhance students\' communication skills.
- Cultivate meaningful connections with students beyond scheduled class time to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Proclaim the gospel message and provide discipleship to new believers as opportunities arise.
- Collaborate as an integral member of a comprehensive church-planting team, working together to establish a thriving local church.
- Acquire proficiency in the local language to enhance communication and cultural understanding.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect and build meaningful relationships with refugees from diverse backgrounds
- Effective communication skills in English to teach the language clearly and confidently
- Cultural sensitivity and a demonstrated willingness to adapt to a new cultural context
- A heart for sharing your faith, witnessing to the lost and discipling new believers.
- A passion for working with Muslim people, and a commitment to reaching out to them.
- A minimum one-year commitment to serving in this role, demonstrating dedication.
- A degree or certificate in ESL/TESOL (a plus, but not required)
