Opportunity Overview:
Russian university cities attract increasing numbers of international students, and are opening new opportunities to reach many people groups who currently have very little gospel witness. SEND Eurasia is looking for workers who can build Gospel-focused relationships in a multi-cultural context. We need people who can work on a team, model Christlike character, be able to engage in respectful gospel conversations, and disciple new believers.
Countries: Russia
Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years), Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Learn Russian language and culture to the level appropriate for one's term of service, as well as some language and culture of international student population
- Modeling Christlike character, and dependence on God in everyday life
- Take initiative in building Gospel-focused relationships with students from various backgrounds
- Plan, execute and/or participate in various Bible Studies, group and on-on-one, and fellowship activities
- Occasionally engage in ESL teaching/tutoring
- Work cooperatively on a team to reach students for Christ
Qualifications:
- Initiative taking in relationship building or “people skills”
- Heart for the glory of God to penetrate the unreached
- Passion to make global followers of Christ who will spread the gospel
- Experience in reaching out and discipling cross-culturally
- Ability to be a team player with missionaries and nationals
- Humility to work behind the scenes and empower and encourage others to lead
- Commitment to the power of God's Word to transform lives
