Japan | Guesthouse Manager
Opportunity Overview:
Located right outside of Tokyo, the SEND Center houses a church on the first floor, administrative offices of SEND Japan on the second floor, and missionary guesthouses on the third and fourth floors. We are in need of a Guesthouse Manager to operate the reservations, servicing, and maintenance of the SEND Guesthouse in a manner that reflects the kindness of Jesus in word and action, while being a positive testimony in the neighborhood. You will not live at the Center, but in a regular Japanese apartment nearby to be fully immersed in the culture, and commute in to handle the guesthouse duties. As time allows, we welcome involvement into local SEND ministries as well.

Responsibilities:
The SEND Japan Guesthouse serves the missionary community by providing overnight accommodations in five apartments in the SEND Center. The Guesthouse Manager is responsible for:
- The general oversight of SEND Japan's Guesthouse
- Managing room reservations
- Cleaning and making sure the rooms are ready to receive incoming guests
- Performing basic building maintenance
- Using your other God-given gifts to serve in practical ways
- Fostering fellowship and giving spiritual encouragement
Qualifications:
- English required; Japanese helpful, but NOT required
- Raising one’s own missionary support
- Gift of hospitality
- Servant’s heart / willingness to serve
- Managerial skills – ability to work alongside others and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Basic maintenance skills
- Ability to be flexible
- Good level of health and fitness for manual tasks
