Transcaucasia | Pioneer Ministry Engagement Worker
Opportunity Overview:
SEND Eurasia is looking for cross-cultural workers who want to pioneer new opportunities in the Transcaucasia region. We need people who will take the initiative to explore, experiment, and create. They must have a heart to engage the least-reached with the gospel, a passion to build relational networks, and the skills to bring value-added services to local communities. These creative engagements must also form initial strategies for entering unreached peoples and places. We are looking for workers who are ready to operate co-vocationally in these new communities. Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)
Responsibilities:
- Explore and discover: Identify community needs through local listening and learning.
- Investigate and research: Study those places and peoples where there is little gospel engagement in order to prioritize engagement needs.
- Initiate and innovate: Lead the way in innovationand development of new opportunities and ideas, effecting positive change and inspiring others to do the same.
- Clarify and assess: Set clear objectives, evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, and develop new solutions to societal needs.
- Overcome obstacles: Persevere through setbacks and failures.
- Impact communities: Pursue community transformational impact through local support and spiritual reconciliation, leading to making disciples.
- Establish churches: Open up new relational connections for a church-planting team.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or experience that facilitates the pioneering of new initiatives and the ability to work co-vocationally.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while pursuing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and push forward new initiatives in a rapidly changing context.
- Desire to advance the gospel among the unreached by responding to community needs and developing deep relationships of trust.
- Readiness to work with a team and a willingness to serve.
- Proficiency in English and the readiness to learn a local language.
- A deepening relationship with Jesus, marked by a heart for God and a love for others.
Additional Information:
Georgia is a relatively easy place to be initially established within the region and proves to be in a very strategic location.
Georgian, Russian and English are the three most commonly spoken languages in Georgia.
Serving in Transcaucasia comes with risk due to historical and current conflict in the region.Our Local Vision:
SEND Eurasia has recently expanded their work to Transcaucasia, a small but strategic region that includes dozens of unreached people groups and connects to creative-access countries. We seek to impact local communities in transformational ways that facilitate gospel witness and multiply efforts to establish and grow local communities of Jesus followers.
