Ukrainian Church-Based Discipler

Needed:

Spiritually mature personnel, both young in age and those with more life experience, who are able to disciple, mentor, counsel, and encourage Christians in ethnically Ukrainian church. Church-based disciplers will encourage believing church leaders in their ministries to think relationally, missionally, globally and to model these skills for them.

Term: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)

Tasks:

Learn language and culture
Seek to energize either Ukrainians and/or multi-ethnic church leaders in Ukraine to share their faith in their home country or elsewhere, even participating in short-term mission's trips with them
Assisting in Bible studies, small groups, youth groups, camping ministry and depending on skill set, could also include preaching and teaching.
Participate in daily church life, setting an example of love, mercy, character and evangelism in relationships
Workers in ethnically Ukrainian churches and their families will be immersed in Ukrainian culture and will be expected to work towards ministry in Ukrainian language

Specific Qualifications:

Active participation in a local church in home culture
Experience leading small group Bible study and/or discipleship program
Bible College certificate or higher
A mature walk with Christ
Heart for the glory of God to penetrate the unreached
Passion to make global followers of Christ who will spread the gospel
Ability to be a team player with fellow workers and nationals
Humility to work behind the scenes when needed and empower and encourage others to lead
Heart of a servant, flexibility and cultural sensitivity
