Additional Information:

Our first venture into Vietnam is in a place that boasts old world and new world charm. Vendors serve inexpensive and delicious street food to the majority of people daily as many do not have kitchens in their apartments. This vibrant city is predicted to be the fastest growing city in the world in terms of GDP growth through 2025. The home of more than 5 million motorbikes and 7 million people, this city contains a number of universities that serve unengaged, unreached populations, as well as the majority people group who remain one of the largest unreached people groups in Southeast Asia. Less than 1% of people in this city are Christians. A combination of ancestral worship, Buddhism, and atheism permeates this friendly and historical city which has begun free-market enterprise.

English is highly desirable. Native English speakers, especially those with technical and professional skills, as well as TESOL certification, have multiple opportunities to have a Gospel impact.

Our Local Vision

Our vision for Vietnam is to make disciples among the majority and minority peoples through the engagement of strategic partnerships. This vision can be fulfilled when there are movements of disciples who gather and reproduce. Our strategy is to first engage the majority Vietnamese people, the Kinh, with a strong network of local and international partners. This majority people make up 90% of Vietnam's population but only 1.4% are evangelical Christians. Without a strong and reproducing Vietnamese Kinh church, the task of reaching other unreached people in Vietnam is compounded.
