Alaska | Engage Ministry Internship

Opportunity Overview:

SEND North is eager to invest in the next generation of ministry leaders through our "Engage" ministry internship program. Your journey will start in Anchorage, Alaska and can take you to many different locations and styles of ministry across the North. Depending on your interest, you can gain experience in the following types of ministry:

• youth
• children
• camp
• remote village
• urban diaspora (including ESL)
• aviation
• media
• finance & admin

The internship starts with group training at the end of May and concludes with our field annual conference at the beginning of August where you will connect with the entire SEND North family. No matter what your long-term ministry plans are, we are eager to work alongside you as you take a step towards following Jesus to make a difference in the North! Ready to learn more? Terms:  Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)

 

 


Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities will vary depending on ministry interest and assignment.


Qualifications:

  • A servant's heart and a teachable spirit
  • A willingness to raise prayer and financial partners to support you in ministry
  • A joyful and flexible attitude when plans change
  • A basic knowledge of the Bible and a history of walking with Jesus
  • The ability to share the Gospel with children and youth
  • A desire to learn from other cultures
  • A willingness to travel in small aircraft
  • Willing to endure rustic circumstances/diet
  • An interest in missions or full-time ministry
  • Other qualifications may be required depending on specific area of ministry interest

    Timing:

    11 week program beginning in late May and lasting until early August (end-date is negotiable).
