Japan | Camp Workers - Okutama Bible Chalet
Opportunity Overview:
Workers interested in camping ministry, children/youth/adult outreach, outdoor activities, and/or teaching English. Okutama Bible Chalet is a camp and retreat center situated in the scenic Okutama Mountains just above the Tama River. It is a place away from the demands and routines of life, a place to relax, build friendships, and think deeply. Okutama Bible Chalet partners with the local church in evangelism and the discipleship of believers.

Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years), Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Counsel campers (English speaking and bilingual counselors needed)
- Kitchen duties
- Teach English
- Clean and maintain the camp
- Lead outdoor activities (ex: rafting, lifeguarding, games, hiking, camping)
- Opportunity for mid- to long-term service as a part of the maintenance and housekeeping staff. Please contact us if you would like more information!
Qualifications:
- Flexible spirit
- Willingness to take initiative
- Comfortable with people
- Willingness to live a simple lifestyle in close quarters
- Ability to do regular camp cleaning and maintenance
- Additional skills such as leading group games, hiking, rafting, and ropes course experience would be very beneficial
Dates:
