Asia | Counseling Center Opportunities
Opportunity Overview:
We are in need of qualified counselors with the experience to lead and provide administrative support teams of counselors in either Taiwan or Thailand.
Countries: Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Thailand
Terms: Long-Term (3+ years)
Responsibilities:
Assist with a broad range of needs:
- Administrative tasks
- Supervision of other counselors
- Holistic care for counseling and administrative team members
- Sensitivity to the unique stresses and challenges encountered by missionaries serving cross-culturally
- And much more!
Qualifications:
Chiang Mai, Thailand counseling center:
- Training in Clinical Counseling
- 5 years leadership and supervision experience
- Cross-cultural/mission experience expected
- Skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking
Taichung, Taiwan counseling center:
- Mandarin Chinese language skills are highly desired in this position. There is the opportunity to study Chinese in Taiwan in order to reach proficiency/fluency.
- Understanding of counseling practices and ethics. Professional training and experience in supervision is preferred.
- Understanding of ministry challenges and operations. Cross-cultural ministry experience is preferred.
- Bible school/seminary training is preferred.
- Ability to deal with work, ministry, personal effectiveness, and relational issues in a cross-cultural context.
