Japan | Hi-BA Summer Camp Ministry
Opportunity Overview:
Camp ministry is a fun and effective way to encourage young people in their spiritual journey. For believers, it is a wonderful time to spend with peers, encouraging and challenging each other. For unbelievers, it is a chance to get away from normal life and be able to consider seriously the claims of the Bible. The presence of international workers at the Japanese camps can bring excitement and new perspectives on life and faith. At the international camps, the experiences of an older person, even just a few years older, can be a great encouragement to high school students.
Countries: Japan
Terms: Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Serve on a team and do evangelistic outreach amongst Japanese high school students
- Spend at least one week with international students, and two to three weeks with Japanese students
- Participate in various outdoor and indoor camping ministries
- Possible Japanese language learning
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A desire to build relationships and share the gospel with high school students
- An interest in camping ministry
- A servant's heart
- A strong and growing faith
Duration of trip:
