10/10 Prayer Initiative: Join with thousands to pray for the souls of millions

If you pray for our world’s 1.7 billion Muslims this month, your prayers will mingle with those of many others participating in the 10/10 Prayer Initiative. More than 180 agencies that work with Muslims are committing to fast and pray for God to call Muslims out of darkness and into his marvelous light.

The worldwide initiative was launched out of an international gathering of workers who are seeking to make a difference in reaching the unengaged and unreached Muslims of the world. It is a bold challenge – asking God to draw to himself 10 percent of the world’s Muslims in the next 10 years! 10/10. Easy to remember and yet such an amazingly big task that only God can do it.

The 10/10 plan is simple. Each of the 180-plus participating agencies will sign up for two calendar days per year, so that at least one agency is specifically praying for Muslim outreach every day of the year.

Of course, agencies are welcome to pray more than two days per year! In fact, SEND International has committed to fast and pray the first Friday of every month. Look for reminders in our various prayer letters, calendars and social media platforms, for we believe God is uniting us to join with others to seek the salvation of these lost souls.

We expect resistance. Satan is not going to watch his losses mount up uncontested. There will be setbacks, there will be challenges, there will be some losses, but ultimately there will be victory. For we are in a spiritual battle for the hearts and lives of men and women who have been bound in darkness for far too long.

If God is putting this on your heart as well, then please join with us as you are able. Cry out to God, for his mercy and grace to flood out over lands that are dry and parched. Please consider asking your church or small group to join the 10/10 prayer challenge, too.

This month’s prayer requests

There are no known believers among the 17 million Malaysian Muslims. Pray that this month at least one will come to faith, and pray that those working among them would have courage and strength to faithfully share his word of truth.
Praise God for new workers! A number of people who want to go out to share Jesus are held back because of a lack of finances. Pray for the necessary funding to come in so that they may go out.
Most Muslims don’t accept the claims of Christ the first time they hear the gospel. Pray for our workers as they have ongoing spiritual conversations. Ask God to help them sense the leading of the Holy Spirit and to soften the hearts of those who hear their message.
One of our teams reaches out to college students. Give thanks for the opportunities they have to share Godly values in various courses and pray for these students to take these lessons to heart. Pray that through tutoring and visiting students in the dorms, God’s light will shine and the students will be drawn to what they see in the lives of our workers.
