Asia | Church Planting Team Member
Opportunity Overview:
Men and women with a desire to make Christ known in some of the least-reached places in Asia. As a part of a multinational team, use the skills and abilities that the Lord has given you to help establish reproducing churches. Opportunities for church planters in Asia exist in Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Countries: Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand
Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)
Responsibilities:
- Build friendships
- Lead Bible studies in different settings
- Teach English as a part of outreach
- Offer hospitality
- Use biblical storytelling when applicable
- Engage and lead in different types of outreaches
- Model Christian living
- Disciple new believers
- Serve in other ways in order to share Jesus with those in the local context
Qualifications:
- Learn the local language
- Willingness to serve with cultural sensitivity and adaptability, flexibility, grace, initiative, and perseverance
- Practical experience in evangelism, discipleship, teaching, youth ministry, and other ministries is a plus
- Learn, adapt, and apply appropriate church-planting strategies for each local context
