In spite of a century of Christian witness, response to the gospel has been slow. We are committed to partnering with the national church and like-minded missions to launch a church-planting movement. We seek to accomplish this through storying the gospel along relational lines, in a way that can be easily multiplied. We envision creative teams that include workers skilled in micro-business, teaching English, health care, and community development.
The peoples of north and east Thailand are steeped in Theravada Buddhism, mixed with animistic practice and superstition. Our major focus is the Isaan, comprised of 18 million people on the northeastern plateau. Both friendly and hospitable, they remain proud of their culture and religion, and resistant to the gospel.
